Lapoint Packaging is seeking an additional seasoned sales professional to rapidly grow our newest line of liquid bulk packaging serving the food/beverage and industrial liquids market.

We are looking for an individual with outside sales experience and a strong industry knowledge of B2B bulk liquid packaging products. This position will require a self-starter with the ability to maintain regular hours and productivity while working remotely. Previous successful experience working from home-based office is preferred.

LAPOINT PACKAGING, a division of PackGen is seeking an experienced, energetic, hands-on Team Leader who is ready and able to jump immediately into “People Management”, while quickly getting up to speed on our manufacturing processes and products.

Job Overview: Under the general direction of the Plant Manager, our new Team Leader will oversee and provide direction to production floor personnel in the Lapoint Packaging division, monitor work quality, ensure that employees have been properly trained and that processes are running at the highest efficiency while maintaining high quality standards. The person in this position will oversee and assist with daily plant operations including process and procedure improvements. This is an integral role and well suited for an energetic, natural leader who has initiative, can get up to speed quickly, and takes pride in the details. This is not a desk job – you’ll be hands-on, working alongside your awesome team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Communicate expectations and delegate daily assignments to team members
  • Work alongside team members while providing guidance and direction throughout daily production activities in our fast-paced environment
  • Ensure workstations have required materials to complete each run
  • Evaluate manufacturing equipment for safety and functionality
  • Motivate workers to enhance productivity while maintaining attention to quality
  • Work as middleman between workers and management to create healthy communication
  • Ensure all team members are reading and understanding specifications
  • Maintain a positive, upbeat, and friendly attitude and work atmosphere while leading production personnel
  • Coach and counsel team members to ensure optimum performance, pride in craftsmanship, and job satisfaction
  • Maintain training programs in conjunction with the Plant Manager
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections and generate reports
  • Monitor and enforce safety and personnel policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and monitoring team members
  • Ensure equipment and tools are in good working order and available for use when required, submitting maintenance requests as necessary

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Good physical fitness – Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods, walk, stoop, push, pull, squat, bend, lift, and reach etc.
